Subject: value of cards

I just received 2 boxes of hockey cards from an Uncle. I never collected cards. My question is... Is there a sight I can find out the value of the cards? And is it hard to do? I am in middle school, and it seems like it is really hard. I went to the library and got a couple of books. My mom tried helping out, and we did find some. But I thought that maybe there was an easier way online. Please get back to me if you can offer any suggestions.
