Another great recipe for the 4th of July!

BERRY SLUSH

1 package (3 ozs.) berry blue or raspberry gelatin
2 C boiling water
2 C sugar
1 can (46 ozs.) pineapple juice
2 liters ginger ale
4 1/2 C cold water
1 C lemon juice
blue or red food coloring (opt.)

In a large container, dissolve gelatin in boiling water; stir in sugar until dissolved. Add pineapple juice, ginger ale, water and lemon juice. Add food coloring. Freeze for 8 hours or overnight. Remove from freezer 20 minutes before serving. Stir so that mixture will be slushy.
Yield: 5 quarts
