Caramel Apple Pie

10 Pieces of small square Caramels, cut into fourths
1/3 cups flour
2 cups sliced, pared baking apples (Gram used granny smiths)
2/3 cups caramel ice cream topping
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 9 in unbaked pie shell
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Combine the caramels with the flour. Add the apples, the ice cream topping and the lemon juice, mix well.

Pour this into the unbaked pie shell; Sprinkle with the chopped pecans. Bake at 375 degrees for 40-45 minutes.

=if you are making a deep dish pie, Use 15 caramels, 1/2 cup flour, 5 cups apples, 1 cup caramel topping, and 1 Tablespoon juice.
