Subject: Fresh Apple Cake (very old recipe)

FRESH APPLE CAKE

1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
2-1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup milk
2 cups peeled, cored, and diced apples

Cream butter and sugars, add eggs & beat well. Add milk, then dry ingredients and mix. Fold in applesl

Topping -
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Mix together and sprinkle on top of cake before baking.

Bake at 350 until done - about 35 to 40 minutes.

See - it's easy, and you don't even have to frost it!
