Crescent Rolls by Louie
2 packages active dry yeast
3 / 4 cup warm water (105 to 115 degrees )
1 / 2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 / 2 cup shortening (part soft butter use Soft margarine OR butter )
4 cups all-purpose flour, divided
In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Stir in sugar, salt, eggs, shortening, and 2 cups of the flour. Beat until smooth. Mix in remaining flour until smooth.

Scrape down dough from sides of bowl. Cover; let rise in a warm place until double, about 1 1 / 2 hours.
Divide dough in half; roll each half into a 12-inch circle. Spread with butter; cut into 16 wedges.
Roll up each wedge, beginning at rounded edge. Place rolls, with point underneath, on greased baking sheet.

Cover; let rise until doubled in volume, about 1 hour. Heat oven to 400 degrees.
Bake 12 to 15 minute or until golden brown.
Brush rolls with butter.
