We had hail too.....I was driving home in it...I pulled off to the side of the road along with a dozen or so other smart drivers. I called my husband to see if there was a tornado warning..the clouds were classic. While talking with him lightning struck the ground about 500 feet in front of me...scared the hell out of me. At that point you wonder...do I try to drive (it's raining so hard you cannot see) or do I stay put?????? When the lightning hit a transformer close to the same area I decided to get home....by then the rain had let up some too.

I must say it was one of the nastiest storms I have seen in quite a while.
