...spurred a $98 billion surplus in this year’s budget before Katrina and Rita hit the Gulf. Even in the aftermath of these two major storms, there is $20 billion left. Please do explain why the government needs to increase taxation when the economy is generating greater revenues that anticipated. Is there EVER a point when the government would be taking in enough tax dollars to satisfy you bj? Somehow, I doubt it. I believe your goal for society closely resembles Marxism.
