In reply to: b 's message, "Hey BJ!!!" on Tuesday, July 12, 08:20:03am

most every creek and river flooded, whole apartment complexs
are now blocked in by water, a new car dealership flooded losing around 2 million dollars worth of brand new cars, major streets and roads closed. Many had to be rescued by boat, but one of them made me smile, a woman carrying her big lab across the water, I guess she doesn't know that labs are right at home in the water.

One of the major problems we all the growth around here is that delvelopers will build sub-divisons on flood plains and never let the buyers know. The cute part of it all is, the delvelopers just change the companies name and move on to build another, leaving the buyers up the creek so to speak.

I live on higher ground with no creeks around to deal with, the problem around here and all over Georgia is with all this rain and the famed red clay, trees are falling like bowling pins, the red clay is weak so it doesn't take much of a wind to destroy a tree.

The local media is reporting that we received more rain then the areas that were in the direct path of Dennis. It should be an interesting season.

Oh yeah, the skeeters LOVE it.
