The idea of women getting the education was interesting, but that wasn't the way it worked out. Most education went to priests and monks. Women got little if any education. You were right about men being warriors and laborers. They were entirely too busy to bother with other than their work. Education for even a modest percentage of the population is a fairly recent development.
A monarchy could be a king, a queen, or a king and queen. "Monarchy" means rule by one.
