I believe that there are far more similarities than there are differences. Both Muslims and Christians poems showed a very strong reverance for God and that God played a very important part when mentioned. Both cultures refer to love as being physical and emotional, but this again was dependent upon the authors perspective. I believe that the only real differences shown are those in the poetic form itself.
