[Edit]

Date Posted: 11:05:25 06/07/09 Sun

Either gelding would be perfect for the beginning amateur or youth - they have been shown by a 4 and 5 year old, used in amateur/youth clinics as demonstration horses for hoof trimming, clipping, show prep and halter classes, and I would not hesitate to walk them in a parade - not driving but both have been worked under harness.
They have been running on pasture for two years and are being waisted. It would not take much to get them back in show condition. We do not have the capability to post pictures so please contact thru the email address if interested.

We understand the "economy"and have priced accordingly.

WOODLAND ACRES VANILLA SKY - AMHA/AMHR 30" 2002 palomino gelding. Was Reserve Grand Senior Gelding in open and amateur classes. Had been started in obstacle and under harness. Very easy keeper and it would not take much to get him back in show condition. $500.00.

MLLJ APACHE FIRE - AMHA/AMHR 33.50" 2003 grey appaloosa gelding. Miniature version of a "game" horse. Loves to jump and took to obstacles with no problem, not a competitive "conformation" horse. Excellant movement and natural neck set - top Oklahoma driving trainer would love to have him to work with. Was just before cart hookup. He is more refined and it takes a little more work to keep him in condition but wonderful temperment. $500.00.

Date Posted: 12:04:53 06/02/09 Tue

I just updated our website with some great deals on mare packages. Most of these mares are being bred to our Orion Light Vant Huttenest son, Brewers Orion Image. Our focus has always been to produce refined, colorful, show quality horses. Our stallion Brewers Orion Image is doing just that. There are also some great deals on show quality fillies and colts. Please have a look at our sales page: http://www.darkstarfarm.net/Sales.html
For those that are shopping for tiny horses we are offering some of those as well. We have some tiny mares that can be bred to our 27.5”, line bred Orion stallion Darkstars Myster Spectacular.
Please let the sales page finish loading before clicking on photos or links. I changed the format of our sales page. Please send me an e-mail and let me know what you think.
I will be adding more videos as well as more very nice horses, for your consideration, over the next couple weeks.
Thank you for considering a Darkstar miniature horse.

Poetry Acres Krumpetts Holly is AMHA registered, but being sold as a pet or companion only. d.o.b. 12/25/07. Holly is black as a lump of coal and sweet as a lump of sugar. Her pedigree includes several National Champions and Top Tens. I bought Holly with the intention of useing her as a future brood mare. However, I have learned that she occasionally has a stifle lock up. It only happens occasionally, and I have not noticed it at all since the weather warmed up, but this disqualifies her from my breeding program and I am offering her for sale as a pet or companion only. She is a very "in your pocket" type of filly. Once she sheds her winter coat, she will be a sleek Black Beauty. Offered as a pet only for $500.oo or best reasonable offer. She will make some child an awsome pet or companion to another Mini. I have more pictures I can send by email and can offer very reasonably priced transportation within 300 miles of southeast Oklahoma.

Big Countrys G G Gal is a 2003 AMHA/AMHR silver pinto mare. She is approximately 30" tall. GG has never been bred due to her owner's poor health for the majority of the time she has had her. She likes people and is a pretty mover. $500

Yep, it is that time of year again, the show season is upon us and for some, it is already here! So I know everyone is clipping, fitting, sweating and rationing their show string. With that being said, I’m sure some of you are out there scratching your head trying to figure out which horse you are going to have to leave at home, or minimize their show season due to the economy. Does this sound familiar? Is your show string bigger than your budget this year? If so, have you considered selling one of them to reduce your expenses? Thought that the extra money you make off the sale will help offset the expenses in your pocket book on the rest of your show string? If so, you might be in luck, you may have just found your buyer. How you might ask, well here is my story:

I have searched high and low and everywhere in-between and still can’t seem to find what I’m looking for. Wondering what that is? Well let me tell you that I didn’t know for the longest. I have looked and looked at thousands of your beautiful miniature horses on countless websites and have even had the pleasure of having some wonderful conversations with some of you, but I found myself being asked the same questions over and over again, “What do you want?” “What are you looking for?” “What do you want to do?” I have pondered these questions for some time now and finally figured it out and got off the pot! I want to raise and show performance miniatures. That being said, I had a friend suggest that I come here and post an ad, as you will know if you have what I’m looking for. This way it will eliminate my continuous, aimless searching on the web, because unfortunately I have ran into the same problems on the sales pages of the sites I viewed (not that your websites have problems, just problems for me as they don’t fit my wants, so please don’t flame me):

· Under the age of 2 (already have 2 yearlings and a 2 year old)

· Geldings (yes, they are wonderful for showing and I do have one, however, they lack the plumbing parts required for starting a herd, so I can’t justify having more than one when I’m trying to get my herd to multiply like tater chips…found out I can’t have just one. Where is that winning lottery ticket....lol)

· Stallions (only need one and I have already purchased a colt that I’m looking to promote this year. I'm hoping he will be my future herd sire……wish us luck!)

· Mares (broodmares and most in foal – not that I’m opposed to this, but not priority, maybe you can work me a package deal?)

· No price listed (okay, this one I might get flamed for because this one is a problem. Not just for me, just a general problem I noticed. Why is it in the horse world that everything has to be such a secret on prices? Usually if a price isn’t listed it means champagne budgets call, beer budgets go on down the road. I know this isn’t always the case, but it can be alleviated by just listing the price. I seriously don’t want to waste my time or yours by not being able to afford your $20,000 horse with my $2,000 budget because you chose not to list the price. Still looking for that winning lottery ticket.....)

SO WHERE IS THE SHOW STRING HORSES THAT ARE FOR SALE THAT DON’T FALL INTO ANY OF THE ABOVE CATEGORIES?

Yes, I know, I know, you want to know what I’m looking for, so here it is:

SHOW QUALITY MARE:

Must be 3 yrs or older

Must be AMHA/AMHR Registered

Must be 31-33.5” (when papers are permanent)

Must be able to jump/drive (not necessarily trained, but
capable and performance bred for this)

Not looking to spend more than $4500

Coloring – I’m a sucker interested in painted mares, solid not a show stopper, however, that dog don’t hunt with spots, as they are not my forte

Must be within a reasonable distance from my location (If I want your mare, I want her NOW. I don’t want to wait on a shipper, I want to love her, squeeze her and call her George MINE! So I will come pick her up personally. I am told I’m in a goldmine location for miniatures, but just can’t seem to find my DIAMOND……please help!)

If you think you have what I’m looking for, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I’m interested in purchasing or doing a trade/partial trade any of the below items for this mare by the end of this month. If you happen to have a performance producing broodmare (preferably in foal) that you might be able to work a package deal on, that would be fabulous. Also interested in purchasing the show mares show attire (sweats, blankets, slinkies, and show halter)

-----------------------------------------------------------
FOR SALE/TRADE/PARTIAL TRADE:

4 yr old registered Streakin Sixes Mare. This mare is recently off the track, but is broke to ride. She will walk, trot, and lope circles both directions. She currently stands 15.2hh. Her pedigree includes: Man O War, War Admiral, Beduino, and Streakin Six just to name a few. Go to www.allbreedpedigree.com/howdy+gone+streakin to see extended pedigree. This mare is not alpha and gets along with other horses in the pasture. She stands tied at the trailer. Not much more I can tell you as I got her in on a trade and have only had a few rides on her. Medical issues have encouraged me to sell/trade her and pursue miniature horses. She is priced at $4500 negotiable. May trade for the right mare.

Also have a 42” zebu bull for sale. I’m asking $400 obo for him or will do a partial trade.

14” bear claw, semi-quarter Simco saddle (used but in very good condition) - $500

14” bear claw, semi-quarter Bill Cook saddle (fairly new, great condition, rawhide is black)

Red and blue heeler pups due 16 April and will be ready the first part of June - $100 each. (can send pictures of parents and of pups from last litter)

All items listed are for sale, but may trade or do a partial trade for the above mentioned show mare, performance producing broodmare (preferably in foal), tack items for showing or a show cart. Pictures can be provided on all items and videos can be provided on the mare. I want to thank everyone who takes the time to read this and all serious inquiries are greatly appreciated. Also wanted to add that this ad isn’t meant to offend anyone, so if my humor rubs you wrong, please note that it wasn’t intended to. Again, thanks for looking.
