The SASME club has all of their yard tracks marked with short lengths of rail set vertically near the frog, marking the limit beyond which a parked cut of cars would foul a train on the adjacent track. The rail is painted white and has a sign glued to it (scale lettering - "Track Limit")

For some of the runs in an operating session, could we consider making up a train with the consist on a yard track, the motive power housed in the roundhouse and the caboose on the caboose track? Hostler would get the engine/s out, service them and couple up to the train. Yard crew would select the caboose, switch it to the consist and deliver the completed train to the road engineer?
