The Slayers are coming off of a 30-20 win against and much improved Fargo team, which upset Springfield the prior week 22-19.

And now, the Slayers travel to Honolulu to face the #1 ranked defense in the FIFL. To say that this game is 'important' or 'vital' for Springfield is the "understatement of the year". Without a victory against the Hurricanes, the Slayers are likely on the outside looking in come playoff time.

But which Springfield team is going to show up? The one that put up 45 points on Texas or the one that has struggled in scoring in games against Wichita, Louisiana and to some extent Fargo and Portland. The Slayers will need both QB Perez and HB Simmons to have solid games and for the O-line to control the line of scrimmage. And Springfield's defense cannot go to sleep against a Hurricanes offense that's ranked last in the league or they may be in for a rude awakening.

Jimmy the (FIFL) Freak called it the "most intriguing game of the week" for a reason and has Springfield only favored by 2.5 points! It's Week 13 in the FIFL and games don't get much more intense than this...

ROCK ON FIFL!

TC
