We all have to accept that to advance to the level where PPPs (Profiles/Plans/Plays) adapt to more realistic play occurs ONLY when the league advances to the "next level [we are at level 1 of 3]." Experienced players are able to sculpt these situtions to their benefit... left to the rudimentery basics [as in leave it up to the computer] (FAR below what '97 was intended for) suffer the consequences. VERY FEW in this league have the time or the inclination to advance further... and that's OK by me. Accept this league for what it is... an excellent diversion from reality and it functioms as intentend... basically a GM league. THAT'S why I always come back to "THIS IS THE FIFL." This is the ONLY league I've been privy to that played the game at it's most basic level... believe me when I say the original programers knew there were flaws in the AI B4 it was released. I've been privvy to more than one coversation vs programers and corporate sponsers. Timely release was everythimg back then, as it is now... BUT it was more amplified by the battle of the NFL vs the NFLPA as to who would get the bucks down the road... THAT'S what killed the DYNAMIX team, and, ultimately the FBPRO series. We got madden, the bigger name in its place. Graphics is a no brainer thing... acurate depiction of NFL game play is another thing entirely. Personally, gimme the thinking mans game vs the JELO gimmick thing. Don't get me wrong.. I'm all for accurate pictorials et all... but it's the strategy that fascinates me and keeps me coming back for more... We have a very competitive league here... just recognize it for what it is... and ROCK ON!
