dateline Baton Rouge... New season, same 'ol story: BIG PLAYS COST the BEAST! We thought we were reading a recap of last season. WR1 doesn't catch squat... sackage supremo for THEM... DOH! 55 yd TD pass to seal the W. ABHORITION? OR REALITY?!? Regardless, the Beast absorbs another road loss to open the 2002 season. "I'm lost for now" intoned chagrined owner/gm Jimmy Hanlon. "We had workable?!? new PPPs, an upgraded roster, and we got our collective asses handed to us. Outdoor stadium? On he road? Seems to be our bane. Let's see how we respond at home. We project Missippi to be our prinincipal rival for the division title, so it oughta be interesting... if not vital to our efforts this season. I would rather NOT get caught up in last seasons' 'WE GOTTA WIN THIS ONE NOW' so early in the season." Dazed and confused, Hanlon exited, stage right...
