Subject: Did you Know.... LB Mike Sims

Today Portland released LB Michael Sims (6'1, 220, Edinboro) and signed LB Tim Harris.

Did You Know... LB Michael Sims currently holds the record for most tackles in a game with 16. Sims set the record of 16 tackles during week 3 of the 2002 season in a 21-27 OT loss to Wichita (For those truly interested, all 16 tackles were made in regulation).

Sims began his career in Colorado in 1999 where he finshed the year with 2 tackles and 1.0 sack. After being a free agent for the first eight weeks of 2000, Portland signed Sims and he went on to finish with 20 tackles. In 2001, Sims had 46 tackles and 3.0 sacks. Sims had a career year in 2002 when he finished with 71 tackles and 6.0 sacks, as well as an interception. Sims began the 2003 season as a reserve LB but was expendable after the Prowlers traded for LB's McBride and Blevins.
