Subject: Smash starting to regain 2002 form

The 2002 form is creeping up. Steel Valley currently rests at 0-3, with little improvement from a year ago. That 2002 form shows in another loss, this one being 23-14 to the Dayton Skyhawks. Steel Valley was up 14-0, but then couldn't find the end zone, goalposts, or anything closely resembling points.

"The offense is hurting right now. We can't get it done. Therefore, changes will be made. It starts at the top. Fred McNair is getting the week 4 start. We're 18th in the FIFL in passing. 18th! Rashard Casey was a bust. He won't be with this team after the season, I don't imagine. Of course, other changes will be made. I thought a more effective offense would let our defense get more rest and play better. Our defense is near last in rushing and is last in passing defense. Bleh."

It is interesting to note that every older veteran on the Smash roster is again available for trade. There aren't many left, but there's always a draft pick to be had by trade...at least that's what head coach/GM Dan Jackson says. "We need something...we don't have it. So trade it to get what we need."
