Subject: Training Camp standouts get the nod for game 1

McKinney, TX: Training camp has concluded for the Austin Knights. "We had a productive and informative camp in a wonderful environment here in McKinney." says GM Ian Verhaegen. "I think we'll be back here next year".

There were some expectations met and some surprises as well. Veteran QB Gary Porter will start game 1 for the Knights, but RB Elijah Raphael will hand the reigns to understudy Tom Pettithomme. Other notables: The dynamic DE duo of Frederick Williams and Kelvin Kinney will be together again attempting to repeat, or better, their 13 sacks apiece. Rodney McSwain will take over the starting Strong Safety position and Yano Jones will move to Free Safety.

All in all, the Austin Knights will look very familiar from the 2005 team. Look for them to improve their record, however, experience and a couple of key improvements over the off season might just do the trick.
