Deviants of Fate: Those who do not let destiny guide them, but instead carve their own path in life. Chapter Two. . . Only three deities have been awakened, creating an unbalance in the world. Ares was the first, the God of war. Thantos came second, the God of Death. Athena was the third, the Goddess of Wisdom. The scale was already uneven at this point, but it was finally tipped when a single equine rose into greatness. He was no different from the others, a first only an undistinguishable figure among the gray masses. Yet he did what no other achieved. Through perseverance, he trained till he achieved the status of a God. When this happened, he was granted any title he wished. This horse, Adonis, chose Vengeance. Three out of the four deities awakened were dark, and it tipped the world into chaos. With Death, War, and Vengeance reigning Wisdom was hard pressed to keep them in check. Meanwhile Ares had chosen an apprentice, a young pup who had proven himself as an individual among the many followers. The other Gods and Goddesses, though not yet able to take physical shape grew worried over the current state of affairs. What could be done that might tip things in their favor once more, restoring balance to the shadowed world? Many of the deities offered their own suggestions, but none could agree. Finally, growing annoyed with the other’s endless debate, Zeus, God of the Sky, acted on his own. He created his own children, children of the sky, and sent them down to the lands in hopes that these new creatures would restore the balance. Now the question is, will they? Will these creatures of lore be accepted by their horse and equine counterparts, or will Ares interfere, bringing warfare and strife between the two species?
