A "DIRECTIVE" from the EU Commission to the Dublin administration is an order to change 26 counties law, sometimes radically. The matter does not go to the Dail - it must be obeyed without question - so much for Irish sovereignty! Craven Irish politicans have sold our heritage for a mess of pottage.
Mo naire ortha!!!

Directives can cover anything from banking to nursing, fishing, agriculture, etc. You name it, the foreign burocrats can dictate it! Usually a string of other changes are the result of these DIRECTIVES.

How many directives has Dublin received? A recent Irish Times report noted that at the end of 2002, more than 100 EU directives had still to be implemented, or put into force. The Dublin administration has implemented 96.33% of foreign directives.

It is calculated that the Dublin administration received at least 2,672 directives from Brussels!

Believe it or not, many Irish people at home and abroad think the 26 counties are ruled from Dublin! What are TDs paid to do?
