186,200 unborn babies were killed by so-called 'legal' abortion in England and Wales last year.

The data, published by the Office for National Statistics, subject to possible revision, shows that there were 17 abortions per 1,000 resident women aged 15 to 44.

10,200 abortions were carried out on non-resident women, 6,625 of these, were performed on women with addresses in the Irish Republic. Of that figure, the highest number were among the 20-34 age group at 1,189, and 244 among those aged 20 or younger.
