As the earth turns 'round,
Completing her dance
Under the night sky,
A lone figure is silhouetted
By a pale face
Surrounded by sparkling gems.
The figure moves off
Down the hill.
Then, suddenly,
She dashes away,
Capering and calling
To the lightning bugs
And the crickets,
Leaping high,
Racing low...
The earth-dance
Is very in step.
