Anaheim, CA. The Angels are calling all contenders, and pretenders, and announcing that Kevin Appier, Oliver Perez, and Jose Cruz Jr all want to be dealt from Anaheim before the trade deadline. Currently the team has received a couple of offers for these and other players, but nothing finalized by any stretch of the imagination.

"We're looking to develope this organization from the Minors up," said President/General Manager Stew Clinger, "and in order to do so, we know we'll have to get rid of some decent veterans and take some lumps with our youngsters, but in the long run, it will be worth it," he added. While they will not name prospective teams that offers have come in from, the management did say that by either late Friday or very early Saturday, some players will be getting paid by new teams.

Angel's Offices will be closing at 10:00AM, EDT, on Saturday to observe the Father's Day weekend and may not be open again until late Sunday. Any and all offers will be reviewed and either declined or countered.
