Monday was the last day of school for my son. It stormed and we had tornado warnings, the next day (Tuesday) more of the same plus I got some bad news on some business matters. Wednesday, my son got injured and I spent most of the day in an emergency clinic. He's fine now, the injury wasn't major or anything, just unsettling and time-consuming.

Thursday I went to pay the annual rent on our land at the lake (2 wooded lot sites on which we put our own park campers with attached florida rooms and detached storage sheds). They had raised the rent on each site and had been bulldozing the woods between them to see if they could take a little from each of our sites and make another site. I was upset and depressed. I've had mine for 12 years and my mother her's for 25. Her's is a choice lakefront site, I'm directly behind them. She and my dad put countless hours and thousands of dollars into it over the years. The park has around 400 sites and nearly 100 have put in reservations of my mom's site if she ever leaves it. I feel like the park owner is just trying to irritate us so he can bring in someone new along with still another price hike.

I have to change my son's dressings twice a day and get pills down him twice a day. He isn't supposed to play at anything physical or get his hand wet. You have no idea how hard that is or how unhappy he is about it.

Oh well, such is life. Today I had some business to take care of in the morning, and my daughter is whining wanting her hair straightened this afternoon ( I might even do it!). She tried to bribe me with an offer of cooking lunch, but I chose starvation instead!
