I was brought up eating catfish my daddy caught in rivers and creeks (we all called cricks) on farms all around us. The ones he and hubby have caught since in lakes like ours, Lake of the Ozarks, and Lake Powell, may be tastier. And of course I've settled for those farm-grown for years before moving here. But I still miss that memorable flavor of mud, the only pollutant in our Kansas waters, at least back then!

By the way, WE, which do you prefer to eat: eggs and chickens harvested from little cages, or the free range kind? Know why many prefer those from a real farm? LOL
