I guess the attitude I've run into all of these years is doctors who considered this one of the consequences of being female and made me feel foolish for even asking about it. It's just that I'm getting old enough now to quit looking at doctors as all knowing Gods and to quit putting up with things that maybe don't need to be tolerated.

I was hoping maybe one of you would have encountered this problem or known someone who had and would have heard it was common or that there was a well-known medication for it. In this area, where women are still treated with some diffidence by physicians, it would be mice to approach them armed with a little knowledge and a little confidence.
