There are a lot of charleton's trying to milk money off of geneology searcher's on the net. For some reason there are a lot of people in our family almost obsessively interested in the family geneology. I have found 3 excellant sites tracing my paternal grandfather's family back to England in the the 1500's and some who claim to have definitive information back to the 11th century. For my paternal grandmother I only have things going back about 200-300 years. For my maternal grandparents it's pretty sparce, only have information dating to the early to mid 1800's.

Actually it can be kind of fascinating, in a boring statistical sort of way.
