Kodoku smiled and nodded excitedly as she stood up. "Promise! Now c'mon!" Kodoku linked her arm in Arietta's and pulled her excitedly to her door and opened it to see Haruka and Michiru standing there about to knock. "Mom? Kai'oh-san? What are you doing here?" Kodoku asked hoping they hadn't heard their conversation. "We came to check up on you two," Michiru said. "When Ari-chan wasn't in her room I assumed she was here." Haruka gave Kodoku a dramatic close-up and said suspiciously, "Where were you two going in such a hurry?" Kodoku laughed nervously and said, "I...uh...we had some leftover homework due tomorrow and we didn't feel the need to piss you two off any more by not doing it, so we were gonna go do it in Arietta's room." Haruka smiled, stood up, and said, "That's my little girl. Just don't work so hard. You still should rest. Both of you." "Yes, ma'am," Kodoku said. "Let's go Arietta." Kodoku pushed Arietta in the direction to her room and went in. "Maybe we should help them," Haruka suggested to Michiru. "No," Michiru replied in a teasing voice ((she does it often)) "we have our own 'assignments' to do, Haruka-chan. C'mon we'll do them in *your* room." Haruka smiled and the two went off.
Kodoku's face was covered in sick-blue as she watched her mom and Arietta's mom apparently flirt with each other. 'What is their relationship anyway?' Kodoku thought to herself. When they were out of sight Kodoku said, "That was close. C'mon, Arietta," pulled Arietta anxiously. She really wanted some more alcohol.
