Well! Report in The Psychologist this month claims that 'paranormal events' may occur when people who already believe in ghosts misinterpret subtle environmental factors such as... "varience of local magnetic fields"!

Looks like quite a good study, though have to admit I haven't seen the actual paper itself yet. But one for your library I think.
