This is what happens when one does not check this board for weeks at a time.

Hey, guys? Seems to me the classy thing to do [/Homer Simpson] would be simply and quietly to stop baiting LQ, *not* write sermonizing post after sermonizing post about it. There are plenty of other people out there who've decided to take the high road about this whole situation without *telling* anyone that they're taking the high road. Given that just about everyone here has baited and mocked LQ at some point, going on at length about how it's wrong and mean and it's high past time to quit looks disingenuous. It looks like you're asking for applause.

Also, if you've decided to take the high road: take the damn shrine down. Whatever you may say about it now, it was created as a means of mocking LQ. Her fics were posted without permission, and if the founders had cared, they would have asked her before then. In fact, iirc, the founders pretended to be her friends and then posted about that here. Keeping it up is breathtakingly mean and petty.

Show a little class, stop pointing fingers and preaching, and just *stop.* Don't be so gauche as to brag about it.

btw, just so everyone knows: the only side I'm on here is my own. I'm selfish that way. ;-) But seriously, I don't think anyone here has the right to preach about maturity, because no one's looking very mature. You know how people kept LQ that if she wanted the entire thing to die out, she'd quit freaking out about it or responding to posts about it? Think about it.
