I've got a theory, let me know what you think of it:
When LQ was young, an extremly large thesaurus fell on her head. Ever since, she has suffered from deep seated emotional and mental trauma. The result of this trauma reveals itself whenever she gets emotional. It forces her to take her anger out on the thesaurus.
Well.... it's a theory anyways. ^__^
