I've only heard of flagdancing once or twice and that was in a forum discussing fanfics. Maybe it's like an inside joke in some fandoms. The only problem I see with LQ's use though is that it had a negative connotation. It referred to "waving the stupidity flag" or, in other words, actingly like a idiot and/or ass in front of everyone.

The only other variation I've seen is "fagdance" which is the same thing only with more of a foaming-at-the-mouth-rant ring to it.

Either one suits LQ.
