do me a favor and respect myself and my forums members.

Ah, but I never respect anyone just because they tell me to. People have to earn my respect, something that isn't easy to do I'll admit.

I would also like to point out that throughout the majority of history, as well as throughout much of the world today, people of 11-13 years of age were as mature as adults. They had to be to survive. Many would be getting married at around that age. Others would have been working in the fields since they were six or seven. Or even worse, working in the death traps called factories.

Medieval art work depicts children with the same proportions as adults, only smaller. That's what children were seen as, little adults who acted in the same manner. (Or ‘manor' as our dear friend would say. Heh.)

Clearly age and maturity just like age and wisdom, have little to do with each other. It's not that all children go through a phase of whining. It's mainly just people from the rich industrialized areas of the world. They are fortunate enough to live in an area of the world that doesn't require them to fight to survive every day, and thus have enough free time to whine about things. They should spend more time being thankful that they have clean water instead.

Waits for the approaching onslaught of hate that this should get him.

On a different note, I would like to point out that the real conquest of Iraq has begun.

We'll have a Starbucks there by the end of the month. We are McDonalds. You will be assimilated. You know I read somewhere that there has never been a war between two countries which both had a McDonalds in them. I don't know if it's true or not, but it's kind of interesting.
