I think the problem, besides the fact that you were angry that day, was that you had already thought through how this RPG should be played.

As the thorn in many a GM's backside (pokes chiad in the ass), and a GM myself, I can tell you, the more unpredictable the players, the more entertaining the result.

I think my biggest advice to you is always make a loophole. The thing that players want more than anything else is a time to shine, and a time to make themselves more important than any other person there, if only for a few minutes.

Cy's magic absorbtion anyone? Midnight and Bob and the Minataur fiasco with the bubbles and the fusion blocks? Sputnik and his Ferrari? etc etc etc...

There always needs to be an alternative way out. Sure, the -only- way to get into such and such a city is to take the underground path into the bar...but what if you used a natural ability to meld with shadows and follow the guards in.... Isn't conventional, and the GM sure wasn't expecting it, but it works...and it makes things interesting.

Heh.

And if you want to keep your players in line, always have a fall back plan.

Really really tall Gods of Fate and/or flaming cows dropping from the sky are always good. If someone gets too obnoxious, kill em off. ^__-
