Okay... Mary Sue has 'wonderful animal companion: unicorn' Mary Sue finally gets lust object. Unicorn no longer likes Mary Sue, as Sue is no longer virgin. Unicorn skewers Sue.

Or... Mary Sue discovers that no, bears/large cats/wolves are not easily tameable and/or not nice. Large animal companion has a snack.

I dunno, I just get tired of Sues getting animal details wrong. I like animals, I like animals in fiction, I like it even more when people get the details about animals in fiction _right_.

Oh and I saw this one suggested (can't remember by who right at the moment): Sues often seem to like to ride half-wild stallions. Now half-wild stallions are not nice horses. Create the opportunity for a riding accident. Sue problem solved.
