SOME OF THE STORIES I HAVE COLLECTED

I am female.It happened in Latin America.1980-1989, 11 year old12 years old13 years old14 years old15 years oldMy parents just took me I don't know about any information.My parents drove me to the exam.At a regular hospital.Children that had been treated or examined by a psychologist or psychiatrist beforehand.All children that have shown more than just standard interest for sexual matters.Children with some kind of unusual bahavior or interests.Children in foster care homes or the like.It was in Venezuela. I knew some kids from a local orphanage from my school and all of them were there in addition to all of us who had been caught having private conversations and explorations of sex.
PREPARATIONS AND ANESTHESIA
They washed my body before the exam.I was totally naked through all the procedures.The staff took my clothes of some time before the anesthesia had made its effect.I had to strip totally naked before the exam.They placed me upon something like a dentist's chair but with devices to lift my legs onto.I was placed to lay on my back with my legs flexed up spread and mounted upon two devices.I got electrodes on my cheast.I got electrodes on my stomach or hip region.I got something to swallow.I got anesthesia gas to breath in through a mask.The anesthesia only took away pain.The anesthesia made me relaxed but I was conscious.I was mostly awake during the procedure despite anesthesia given.
They took groups of us boys and girls into each examination room took all of our clothes off of us (and took them away out of the room) and sat us in these chairs with our legs held up and ankles strapped in. We were given a small paper cup of liquid and just a brief inhale of gas from a mask. We could all see each other's genitals clearly. The first thing they did after the anaesthesia was to wash all of our bodies with washcloths then they shaved all of our pubic hair off.
EXAMINATION WITH EXTERNAL EQUIPMENT
They performed an analysis of my breathing and oxygen uptake where I had to breath into a tube.I had to do some physical work like cycling or running on a threadmill when the ECG and breathing analysis was performed.They examined my genitals with an ultrasound device.They had electrodes at my genitals to record functions in this area.
INTERNAL EXAMINATIONS
They used a speculum in my vagina.They inspected my vagina with a scope.They inspected my anus with a speculum.The doctor explored my vagina with a finger.The doctor explored my anus with a finger.They also looked inside mouth and ears like a standard exam.
SOCIAL INTERRROGATION COMBINED WITH TESTING OF PSYCHOLOGICAL AND BODILY REATCTIONS
They spent a lot of time rubbing my vagina and touching my lips as well as massaging my breasts and pinching my nipples. I saw them doing something similar to the boys in the room to their genitals. They also touched our legs a lot.
I had electrodes on my body.I lay with my legs in stirrups some time after the exam. We spent a long long time in the examination room naked with our legs elevated asking us a great deal of questions about sex and our experiences. They measured our response to this asked if we got aroused easily and what happened to our body when we did.
There was also measuring and talking about our development (when was first period etc)Finally the beds were adjusted so we could sit up but our ankles still held in and legs still spread. We were instructed to look at each other thoroughly. Those who had to pee they brought a glass jar and had them pee into it.
HOW THE ORDEAL ENDED
As we were let out they told us now we have seen each other's bodies we shouldn't worry about covering up if we're changing clothes or something. All of us were led out of the examination room and taken home without getting dressed (they gave our clothes to our parents) and then I went home with my parents.I attended ordinary daytime school.It was a pretty poor school. Attendance was low for everyone.
COMMENTS
This seemed to be a general health exam combined with a surveillance of habits, reactions and social relations, and children that the society thought was of some risk were selected for the exam. It looks however that the staff exaggerated the intimate testings for own sexual gratification.

Girls, school-age to teens, body-focused psychological exam and therapy
I am a female. I was a school-aged child and teenager. Year 1970 - 1979. In North America. I was examined in a health centre. It was a psychological clinic. My dad brought me the first time and sometimes Mom brought me but often I biked. Who did the exam? My therapist. Who was also present during the exam? Sometimes nurses sometimes my parents but sometimes nobody else.
IVERVIEW OF THE EXAM
They examined my head teeth or jaws. They did an orthopedic exam. They examined my genitals. They examined my rectal zone. They did a general examination of my pelvic zones.
They performed a psychological exam. The main focus was psychological examination.
ARRANGEMENTS
I was totally naked. My positions during the exam: Mostly sat in a chair or laid on a couch. Often would be asked to spread my legs and expose myself. It was just a normal psychology office, though.
THE ORDEAL STEP BY STEP
First they nsisted I get undressed. Then have a long detailed talk about the human body being beautiful and it being okay to be naked. Thirdly go over all my body parts discussing their names and functions. As I got more comfortable other people were brought in to look at me. I was observed while taking a pee The exam ended this way: always told I was welcome to walk around nude in the waiting room for a while before leaving. Over the years the psychological therapy got deeper and I was photographed to show my body changing.
PURPOSE AND OPINION
What do you think was the reason for this exam? I guess to make me not care about being nude? What is your opinion about this experience? I'm glad now but it was very embarrassing when I started. Now if anyone wants to see me I'm happy to.
MORE ABOUT THE SYCHOLOGICAL EXAM
They made interrogations about my social relations and my daily life. My therapist wanted to know every time I had been naked when I stopped bathing with family etc.
INTIMATE CHECKS
Someone other person came and performed an intimate exam even though I was called in for quite another reason.
The skin exams seemed separate from the psychological exams but I always got both.
They spread my genital lips to look inside. They examined my vagina with a speculum. Encouraged to masturbate if I felt like it. Showed pictures of my open vagina so I could see.
They spread my cheeks and examined extarnally my rectal zone. They examined my rectum with an inserted finger. Showed me pictures of my own anus since that's hard to see yourself.
I was given a lot of water so they could watch me pee.
OBSERVATIONS
The exam took a very long time. These exams usually went on for 4-5 hours.
FOLLOW-UPS
New exams as follow up. Twice a month from ages 12 to 16 Psychological or social counceling as follow up. My parents started going naked around the house and told me to do it as well.
COMMENTS
The girl possibly had shame and psychological bad attitudes towards own body and the body of others and that made it difficult for her with relationships and curbed bodily functions. The ordeals seemed to have the purpose of giving her a positive relation to own body and thereby solve these problems.
The ordeals seem to have given the wanted positive effect. But the staff possibly exaggerated the therapy sessions for own sexual gratification.

Boy, 10yo, North America - cystosopy combined with sigmoidoscopy
I had cystoscopy - I am male. The exam took place in North America. usa 10 years old. Before 1960. Had cystoscopy in a health centre. Got now explanation. The exam was a total surprize.
PREPARATION AND ARRANGEMENTS
Had to stop eating several hours before the cystoscopy. Got to a special preparation room. Had to undress completely and go to bed. Given enema during preparations. Had to walk by myself to the exam. Taken vitals like temperature heart rate and blood pressure. God lubricating and pain-killing fluid inserted in through the pee-hole. Was totally naked during exam. Lay on back with legs in stirrups.
HOW THE EXAM WAS PERFORMED
They put a rigid stick-like cystoscope in through the urethra. They took out the scope and inserted a new scope to take further specimens. The scope or a new intrument was inserted even further up towards the kindeys. They inserted an ultrasond probe in through the anus to inspect the bladder and genital area. They inspected with a scope some way up into the colon - sigmoidoscopy.
ARRANGEMENTS AFTER THE EXAM
Had catheter in the bladder some time after the exam. Got mediaction for infection. Other reasons for the cystoscopy please comment. It was painful.
COMMENTS
Ultrasound equipent was not in common use at that time, so what is reported as ultrasound wos probably some kind of speculum inserted before a longer scope was used in the anus.
It is recommended that all boys that has had an urinary infection shall have cystosopy and it is possible that cystosopy combined with sigmoidoscopy was even mandatory for all boys, and possibly also girls, at that age in this community. One also frequently find some problems to be treated by these examinations.
Even though these exams are rather inrusive, they can be perfomed nearly painless with local anesthesia, light sedation and gentle approch, so the doctor was probably somewhat clumpsy.

Girl, Western Euope, Periodic gynecological exams fro 8yo-15yo
I am female. It happened in Western Europe. 1970-1979, 8 years old 9 years old 10 years old 11 year old 12 years old 13 years old 14 years old 15 years old. I wasn't given any advance notice by my parents My parents drove me to the exam at a special establishment used for these type of exams. All children that have shown more than just standard interest for sexual matters had these ordeals.

I cannot remember such tests. I cannot remember any external procedures like those mentioned.

COMMENTS
It looks like this community subjected all kids, of whome behavior they were concerbed, to periodic pelvic examinations, which for girls got the shape of a standrad gynecological exam. It seems like she got some kind of light anesthesia and that more than reported was done, but that she does not remember because of the anesthesia.
She probably lay dormant in a hospital bed some hours, during which they probably observed her.

Boy, 11yo, body function tests and pelvic assessments
I am male. It happened in North America. Before 1970. 11 year old nothing Other ways of getting to the exam. At a doctors office. Other selection criteria.
PREPARATIONS
I was not allowed to eat some time before the exam. I got laxatives to clean out my stomach at the place where the exam took place. They washed my body before the exam. I got a traditional enema before the exam to clean out my stomach. I was totally naked through all the procedures. I was placed to lay on my back with my legs flexed up spread and mounted upon two devices. I did not get any anesthesia.
EXAMINATION WITH EXTERNAL EQUIPMENT
They performed an ECG, functional test of the heart function with electrodes on my chest and other body areas. They performed an analysis of my breathing and oxygen uptake where I had to breath into a tube. I had to do some physical work like cycling or running on a threadmill when the ECG and breathing analysis was performed.
They examined my upper body with an ultrasound device or something similar. They examined my stomach area with and ultrasound device or something similar. They examined my genitals with an ultrasound device. They had electrodes at my genitals to record functions in this area.
INTERNAL INSPECTIONS
They inspected the inside of my urethra and bladder with a scope. They took specimens from my urethra with a tube. They took specimens from my bladder with a tube.
They inspected my anus with a speculum. They took specimens from my anus with a tube. They inspected me through my anus high up with a flexible scope. The doctor explored my anus with a finger. The tube going in my penis was interesting. it hurt a little but I did get an erection.
ARRANGEMENTS AFTER THE PROCEDURE
I had catheter into my bladder. I lay with my legs in stirrups some time after the exam.
THE SCHOOL I INTENDED
I attended ordinary daytime school.
COMMENTS
This seems to be astandardized examination of the development and functions of the inner organs, including the urinary system, genitals and lower digestive system. Certain communities around the world subject all boys and girls to this test at the prepuberty age, others do it on all boys and girls they are concerned about, and still others use it for research on randomly selected kids. The test battery originate in the last 1950es, and has been used since then. Nowadeys it is done even more than ever, but with modernized equipment and evenmore tets made possible with modern equipment, and nowadays anesthesia is usually used, so that the kid is uncoscious during much of the examinations.
During these thests one also seem to use or try oit new equipment that is not commonly used yet, in this case ultrasound equipment and flexible scopes.
The tests seemed to be coordinated by some international organization that makes the standards and collect results for surveillance and research on kids around the world, most probably the World Health Organization
