I to like Rachael drove into the PTS car park and was very saddened to see the state of the place. I remember when as a developing trance medium,I met my late partner Liliane Mitchell - Starr in the circle which in those days was held on the top floor.Lola Mcnaught sat in the same circle with some wonderful nights of spiritual development. Services were well attended,i.e when Liliane took a service or an Evening of Clairvoyance. Lola asked Liliane to become President,but Liliane had to decline because she was begining to travel all over country with her work.Lots of lovely people came to the church,visiting mediums,there was so much going on,from Summer fairs to events at christmas. Spiritual healing in those days was 1 until 9 and had a wonderful atmosphere,ideal for meditation,there was also Transfiguration services. It was a treat to attend the P.T.S.All apartments were occupied and generated income. With the right people at the top,who really CARE about the church it could be a thriving success,which is what spirit wants for it. The present committee,as has been pointed out, are motivated by greed,ego & power,all of which flies in the face of spiritual philosophy. Bit by bit the church is going through its death throes. Soon only one spiritualist will exist in Liverpool. John Mcnaught,main benefactor, who's portrait stills hangs in the sanctuary, is horrified at what these people are doing to this once wonderful church,sadly not even a miracle can save from these dreadful people. But as the Guides have pointed out,'Those responsible will have to face the consquences of their actions when they come to our world' So there we have it,On their heads be it.
