I'm disillusioned with Spiritualism. It's not the concept of communicating with the dead, it's dealing with the living that is the problem.
I'm probably not alone in thinking that Spiritualism took the wrong turn at Albuquerque a few years back. The favoritism, the egos, the committees, the utter waste of time and money.
Most of the people I speak to have also come into contact with serious negatives that outweigh anything positive that may still exist in the movement. I don't want to point fingers at any organizations.
The story is always the same. You meet some nice people and they seem to be friendly and caring. Three months later, the same people turn out to be liars, hypocrites and political monsters. It would not be so bad but everyone else fails to recognize the monsters. I'm not paranoid in any way, I find it hard to be critical of people, so for me to recognize a monster they have to be quite brazen.
They pretend to be holy, caring and helpful, but their only interest is in advancement and money. Human weaknesses, I know. What annoys me the most is when others cannot see it. The mask slips all the time, but they always look the other way.
I QUIT SPIRITUALISM.
It has become infected, and there is no way back. Too many monsters climbing up the ladders at the expense of the real people who attend church for the right reasons.
WONDER WHY THE CHURCHES ARE EMPTY?
Because the monsters have frightened off all the people who can see through the egotistical pretense.
WHY NOT GET RID OF THE MONSTERS?
I'm afraid that most of the monsters have friends on big committees.
IS IT JUST MY OPINION THAT THERE ARE MONSTERS?
No, go into any independent church and see how people can come together peacefully, without the politics. Ask them what they think of the larger organizations.
PRETENSE AND EGO
Best buddies but totally blind to each other.
THERE ARE NO MONSTERS IN OUR AFFILIATED CHURCH!
Well, you're either the monster, or you are best buddies with one, ergo you are not going to fall foul of them.
Spiritualism has been the most stressful and disappointing part of my life. It caused me a lot of heartache and the moment I walked away, everything became peaceful again.
BUT THIS IS NOT OUR EXPERIENCE OF SPIRITUALISM!
You see those empty chairs in your church? The people who used to sit in those chairs are people just like me.
Thanks for reading this. GOODBYE.
