Fearful Of Love

I can see myself in your eyes,
Screaming to come out,
The fear I know is greater then anything you could imagine,
My soul can't rest without you,
You could be my only dream,
I've been so tired lately I cannot sleep,
Then you came into my life,
Now I make it through the night,
But I can't seem to open up to you,
I'm too afraid to trust you,
I know you will break my heart,
Then I'll ask myself was it worth it,
But I�m too afraid to know,
I know I could love you,
But you won't let me,
You share the same fears as me,
Yet you still scare me,
The future is untold,
But time has cast a spell on me,
And I hope you won't forget me,
I would follow you anywhere,
For in you I hear a woman that loves me,
You could be my only dream,
It's my heart afraid of breaking,
And my dreams that won't awaken,
Because my soul is afraid of love,
My road has been too long,
And now I'm convinced love is only for he the strong,
Someday my shadow of doubt will be cast aside,
But until that day arrives,
It's here that I must reside,
Here in my lonely world of self doubts and well built facades,
Someday I will tear down these walls,
And experience love the way it was intended.
