I have no relatives in Tenn. I was born in Oakridge because my mother was living with her father while my father was in India and Burma during the war. My mothers father was in Oakridge helping to build the nuclear power plant. My father was Robert Donald James, born March 1919 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was the son of James Edward James VIII, born in Missouri 1876. His father was James Edward James VII, born Cleveland, Ohio date unknown. His father was James Edward James VI, born in England or Ireland date and exact location unknown. My grandmother was Adelaide Lucy Allen. All I know about her is, according to my father, she was half Osage Indian. My grandfather died of throat cancer when my father was 3 years old and the first 7 years of my fathers life was spent on the Osage reservation in Oklahoma. My uncle, James Edward James IX, was estranged from my father when they were just boys. According to my father my uncle did a genealogy search of our family but because of their feud my uncle refused to share this with me. Now I am trying to find out my heritage but so far I cannot verify any of this information. This is the only knowledge I have of my family and it is questionable. I know for sure my uncle and my grandfather were named James Edward James but beyond that I know nothing for certain. If the name James Edward James is in your line it most likely will be in England or Ireland. If you have any knowledge of my family line I would appreciate any information you might have.
