Subject: Dr. August Groman and family

I am compiling a famiy history of the family of Dr. August Groman and his descendants.

Congradulations on your excellent Web Site to which I would like to make a contrubution if you wish. As you correctly state on the Web Page dedicated to the Gromans, Dr. Groman survived the sinking of the SS Vestris on November 10th, 1928. I have a copy of the ships manifest showing him on board as a passenger as well as a photo of the ship which I would gladly send or email it if you tell me were to send it.

In addition I have two questions for now.

1) Regarding the wonderful image you have of the newspaper clipping showing Dr. Groman being greeted by his son and daughter in Chicago after having survived the ship's sinking - do you have the name of the newspaper paper and the date it was written?

2) I am considering a research trip to Odebolt if it makes semse to visit the commuinity to learn more about Dr. Groman and his family. Some of the questions I have are: Are there "Groman Papers" in your archive? Is the house/office still standing? Is there anyone still alive who remembers him? You get the idea.

I look forward to hearing from you. Of you send me the name of a contact person, and a number I would be happy to call if it is more convenenient. Some may call me as well if they wish.

Respectfully,

Rafael Guber
