Subject: Patton brothers WWII

(transferred from the guestbook 4/9/02)
knew and met some of the Patton brothers - would like info of the eight patton brothers and father who served in the navy during world war 2.

FROM THE WEBMASTER: Bonnie Ekse found the following in microfilm of The Odebolt Chronicle, Vol 53, No. 13, 4/11/40 - (caption to a picture of the Patton Boys) "Here are those Patten boys again--and now there are six. Sons of Floyd Patten of Odebolt, they are all in the navy, and are all serving on the U.S.S. Nevada. Ray, at extreme right, enlisted recently and had just reached the ship when this picture was taken. Shown with them (center) is Captain F. W. Rockwell, commanding officer of the Nevada. Two other sons of Mr. Patten are waiting to pass age requirements in order to enlist."
