Subject: Groman Family

I'm the great grandson of Dr. August Groman's brother Frederick. I've found the excerpts on your site from Dorothy Hermine Groman Ellis' book "My Family in Iowa, 1878-1949, and found it not only interesting because of family ties, but because she so charmingly talks of turn of the century small-town life. I would be interested in corresponding with Dorothy Ellis Lane, and also would like to know if any copies of Mrs. Ellis' book are still available. The Groman's seem to be such an interesting family... 3 generations of doctors, an olympic athlete, even actor Robert De Niro. I've also seen one reference to Dr. August's father, Dr. Charles Philip Groman actually being born as Carl Philip Limberg. I'd be happy to share information with any other Groman researchers.
Once again, the Odebolt website is something the town should be very proud of. I think its the best of its kind I've come across.
