I've heard that Snape was a vampire. In the third book snape tried to skip vampires real quickly when he tought DADA. JK Rowling also keeps describing him battish like. Not sure if it's true but i heard it was. Also with the claim that he goes into the sun. He's the potion teacher he could have found a cure about the sun problem.
