Subject: Best Practices for Wedding DJs -- Please give us ideas!

Dear friends and loved ones:

We have all suffered through wedding celebrations with sub-optimal musical configurations. At johnyfran.com, our aim is to provide music that aids digestion, not through its inherent smoothness, but through music-inspired agitation.

Many of you, like us, enjoy good music and have treated Fran and I to nights of musical revelry -- often in combination with good food. That is the spirit we would like to replicate at our wedding celebration.

We have decided on a DJ, not a band for the wedding music. What ideas do you have to ensure that the music enriches the evening instead of dampening it? Who would you like to hear? What songs or artists should we avoid at any cost?

You be the judge and reply here to inaugurate the johnyfran.com wedding forum feature.

--John
