Subject: norteamericano-centric

I realize my initial suggestions may be norteamericano-centric, but I gotta represent. If appropriate, I vote for Chris P. lugging some CD's to Quintero and sharing some of the DC vibe with Enzo: Cymande ("do ya know....doo doo, be doo be doo doo doo....which way you're goin"), Tribe Called Quest (especially "World Tour," which will always and forever be my alltime favorite song to which to dance with John Zoltner), The Roots, George Clinton. Perhaps disco-into-early 80's music is corny to Chileans and norteamericanos alike, but I still believe it ain't dead and is really fun for all ages to dance to (and was a lot of some of our childhoods (20- and 30-something Chileans, too?!)--Earth, Wind, and Fire, Donna Summer, Kool and the Gang--and apropos for the monumental joining of the diverse, loving families and friends of Johnyfran ("People of the world, join in. Start a love train, love train!") I also gotta represent for the Italian Americans in the house and all those who grew up listening to the music my parents did in the 50's and 60's, which was omnipresent at the weddings of my youth: Sinatra, Nat King Cole ("darling you-oo-oo-oo send me"). Perhaps the younger generation could learn a thing or two dancing to these!
