Subject: Barrel race

Beauty flared her nostrils and nipped at the horse next to her. Some manners, I muttered as i tightened the reins. Beauty got the idea and looked up at me, and snorted. Obviously she wasn't looking forward to this barrel-racing competition. Finally, our turn came. "C'mon girl!" I whispered as we bolted for the barrels. We finished in 7 1/2 seconds. Beauty tossed her head and pawed the earth. She loved the crowds noise all of a sudden. Out of the judges booth, a women wearing a yellow vest walked over and handed me the silver cup. Second place! I whooped and ran my horse in circles around the ring until we were both dizzy.
