Newcastle united get a shock win over premiere league leaders west ham, at upton park. first half strike's from alan shearer and robert put the magpies ahead, only for kanoute to equalise just b4 half time. newcastle came out in the second half with the fresh legs of youg star, tonton mokoukou, who set up shearer's winner 12 minutes from time. newcastle move up to 6th in the league.

in a press conference after the game manager alan toner had this to say "id love it if we beat them love it".
