The boys really kicked ass at last nites gig in darlington, playing like men processed, erm possessed. daveglendy was leaping and scissorkicking around the stage, hallypumping his bass as if it were a 12 year old girl, cheeky little tona throwing shapes and thrashing his guitar seductively as if it were a 12 year old boyand garth thumping his tubs til his sideburns slid sweatily down his cheeks, and of course, 'deep' peet, hips gyrating 'a la Jagger in his pomp', his mic stand used as some sort of masturbatory object, slipping his tongue over the bulbous end and slapping his botty with his tambourine in a manner which can only be described as childish (in a good way). the 'spirals played all their hits, whipping the crowd into a frenzy, oh shit!! the gig's tonite isn't it? oh well, i'm sure it'll go exactly as i've described & i'll expect the money for this review in used bank notes and copious amounts of lager.
