i'm back. edinborough was really fun. the festival was awesome. i saw some really good stuff. i saw the creepiest thing! it was this russian company called derevo and they were doing a 1 1/2 hour piece inspired by dante's divine comedy. it was soooo scary! the people were all pale and their whole bodies were shaved liek concentration camp people. it was a mime piece (no talking-lol) with clashing, terrifying music. some of the more interesting parts of the piece include: a naked man with bells tied to his dick staggering around the stage, two other naked men humping in the middle of the stage, a woman dressed like an elf dancing random ballet, and a scene where the 4 members of the company all came out and started getting drunk off wine and throwing bread into the audience while singing happy birthday. it was veyr symbolic and deep and it scared me out of my mind. i also saw an awesome thing called Saucey Jack and the Space Vixens. It's a musical thing where you go into a room that looks like a night club and sit down and it's this hilarious play. there are lesbians making out on motorcycles, and a stripping bartender and a drag queen waitress and this all happens in space-it was great. sort of like rocky horror picture show meets space balls meets hedwig and the angry inch meets austin powers. it rocked. the only bad thing was that i left all of my cds on the airplane. i still might get it back though. i cried for the flight attendents and caused a major scene. :) wow this is a really long post-c ya.
